air filter/jet questions
« on: March 09, 2011, 01:03:28 AM »
I am putting on a high flow ir filter and would like to know what would be a good jet size to go to.  Also, would I need to add oil to the fuel as well as the tank after doing the swap/?

Do you have an exhaust on the scoot? If not, you may not need jetting. I'm sure 1 size is good if you do jet. It really depends on where you are, elevation, humidity. I had my oem carb jetted to a 97, but i also had other mods.
No, you wont need to add any oil to the tank.. Unless your pump isnt working and your afraid of being lean. ;) Which then, you should do a plug chop and check it out.
Plug chops would tell you if you even need jetting

I am having some difficulty finding the right style jets, any suggestions?  And it does have an exhaust, I am planning to get a nicer one at some point, not sure when though.
