Fuel filter location / recommendations
« on: March 27, 2011, 08:12:19 PM »
Hey Gang.
Just purchased a ZX50.  Run's very good, thanks to sid and his recommendation to clean / replace air filter.
Question - I was told and have seen a schematic as to where the fuel filter is located.  The owner said it was in the fuel tank.  I've seen a picture of a fuel filter that is cylindrical in shape in-line "outside" the tank in the fuel line.  There is no cylindrical object like I've seen on other Kymie's or on ZX50 fuel diagrams.  Mine has a cut in the line with an inner tube held in place by the clamps.  Hmmmm!
Let me know what you all think.
Thanks, all.

G'day Pete, it sounds like someone has removed the filter.
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Thanks again, sid.
Is there any filter in particular you would recommend?
