SUPER 9 LC PROJECT
« on: April 05, 2011, 07:37:09 PM »
Hello,

New to the forumn but not new to scooters.

I purchased a Super 9 liquid cooled with what looks to be a AIRSAL 70cc kit and a tencnigas pipe.  The scoot has about 2300 miles on it and has some engine trouble.

The head was removed before I got it and it looks like something metal was in the cylinder.  The piston is dinged up and the top of the head has marks in it where whatever it was was compressed into it.

I havent tried to run it but the piston moves freely in the cylinder.

Anyone have a clue as to what could have let go?  I didn't recieve the spark plug with it so I don't know if the electrode broke off or not.  The head isn't scorched at all and neither is the piston.

I am assuming that the scoot was derestricted. the green wire on the CDI was disconnected.

Any and all help is appreciated.  I will try and post pics tonight.

Jim
