ive been wondering this myself. also, if the bike is running good, has good power, no performance issues or weird behavior or sounds, do the valves even need to be checked? what are tell tale signs the valves need an adjustment?
scoots!

I had mine checked @ 6.5K and they didnt need adjusting. I certainly think the schedule set is overkill and with the hourly labour charge in the UK so high they can do one. I intend to ride mine until i really notice a difference from here on in.

NB I did get the valve checked @ 6.5K when I replaced the engine (most likely due to me going flat out most of the time)

Valves on A125 were first adjusted at 20.000 kms and they were a bit off.
People 250S has 14.000 kms and valves were never adjusted.

A couple of years ago, valve adjustment was all the rave on this forum, it should be done almost before every ride according to some members.  ;D 8)

I've had my valves checked at 10.000km and one was out of spec.
There was no noticeable difference before and after other then a slight
change in sound.

Air cooled engines tend to get warmer and valves get out of spec faster,
once every 10-15.000km should be 'safe'.

I think the service manual suggests first check at 1.000km, then @12k, 24k etc.
