Checking oil - screw cap in or place in position - Kymco People 150

I can't find this info.  Appreciate any help.

This has been a great bike.  It is my wife's, but I steal it often.

Level ground and not screwed in. This will be the same of every motorcycle/ atv after 1968 unlEss they have a site glass.

i have an Agility 125. my dealer says screwed in and he has been selling Kymco since they were in the country. the correct oil level measured would seem to bear this out

also a neighbor of mines Genuine Buddy 150? screwed in

Wow, could be wrong. Everything from sisxsises to lawnmowers have been this way. What does the manual say?

I have looked into 2 service manuals and one repair message. Non of them say
I also looked at it through quarts: size: angle etc etc and I dont think I would make any difference.

I looked in my owners Manual and it doesn't say in or out. I know on Vespas, it fully screwed in (as it is discussed to death).

Whenever I check my oil levels, it's always screwed in.  Generally I like to make sure the engine is a little warm prior to checking though.  Doing the initial prep on tclock is usually enough time for the engine oil to warm up.

From my Xciting 500 owner's manual:

Engine oil level check
(see page 67)
NOTE:
Check the engine oil level each day before riding the scooter.
The level must be maintained between the upper (1) and lower level (2) marks on the oil filler
cap/dipstick.
1. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Make sure the red low oil pressure indicator
goes off. If the light remains on, stop the engine immediately.
2. Stop the engine and put the scooter on its center stand on level ground.
3. After a few minutes, remove the oil filler cap/dipstick, wipe it clean, and reinsert the oil filler
cap/dipstick without screwing it in. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick. The oil level should be
between the upper and lower marks on the oil filler cap/dipstick.
4. If required, add the specified oil up to the
upper level mark. Do not overfill.
5. Reinstall the oil filler cap/dipstick. Check for oil leaks.

Kymco owners manual says, NOT screwed in

On my 2005 P150, I have always screwed the dipstick all the way in to check the oil level and it appears to read correctly when I add the 0.81 L of oil when changing it.  In my manual it says after you have added oil, to screw the dipstick all the way in, run the bike to warm it up, let it sit for 20 to 30 seconds, then check the oil level.

Right, don't screw it in for the oil level check.
Same with Yamaha Teos, MBK Doodo, Piaggio MP3, ...
I don't think any manufacturer would ask for the more complicated way of additional screwing in/out.

Suzuki GS500, not screwed in, to make it worse, it is to be on level ground, not on the side stand, obviously, but also not on main stand either.
