It's been a loooong time....
« on: April 19, 2011, 11:21:44 PM »
Hey everyone!  It's been a long time since I've been here.  Hope all of you have been well.  So it's been getting nice here in the NE, and I've tried to get my Super 8 started  and I have been able to, but not without jumping it.  I've tried to charge the battery, but to no avail.  I'm in a tough spot in terms of needing a new battery, and was wondering if anyone knows if you can by a battery for a Super 8 anywhere other than online?  Any help would be mucho appreciated!  Thanks and WELCOME BACK WARM WEATHER!!!!   ;D

Not to challenge your maintenance skill, but how did you attempt charge? If not at a low-low current (rate) you might want to give that a try. Takes a while but will sometimes get poor performers back in line. After this reinstallation and running for a few days in scoot should finalize providing slow charge was successful.

I didn't try at a low rate....I'll give it a shot.  To be honest though, at this point, rather than trying to get it to work, I think i'd rather spend the $50 and get myself and battery and be off and running.  I know, it's the easy way out, but who doesn't like things to be easy?!

In the NE we really need a battery tender. I attached a set up clip to my battery posts and fed the plug through the floor so I can plug in to the tender especially over winter. The battery won't last long if you don't drive it.

You can get a battery at walmart , you need to take the old battery in or pay core charge . The new battery has to be charged also . Good luck .
