Hello all...

I was just wondering and i haven't seen any posts on this topic..

Do you have to run in a new scooter before riding properly?

I would just add that most of run in is done in the first 100 miles.

During that time, scoot is to be slowly warmed up, then run at varying speeds, including top speed, but for short bursts, allowing it to run its course through varying revs. I would avoid going up hill and two up.

I would then change the oil after 100 miles and then again after 500 or so miles.

I would slowly prolong periods of high rev-time between 100 and 500 miles.

After 500 miles I would ride it normally after it is warmed up.
