Linked brakes?

My new 2010 Grand Vista should arrive in about a week... so I've got a couple of questions.

Does the 2010 GV have linked brakes?

And, out of curiosity, where is the GV built?

by Linkage Rods or the front and rear are hooked tgether.

I thought only the Xciting may be available with Anti Skid.
But I don't know of any scooters with the Front and Rear
Brake Calipers hooked together.

I thought most Kymcos are manufactured in Tiawan.

Mine is a 2004 and I certainly have no complaints.

We discussed this many times. Most are made in China.
Plenty of large scoots have "integral" or "linked" brakes.

I'm guessing it does NOT have linked brakes... usually it is something of a sales point (listed as a safety feature) and I find nothing on the Kymco site to that effect.

I don't need linked brakes, I was only curious.

Scoot should be here in a few days and I am excited (and dreaming of all the places I can go).

If I understand linked brakes, (as in the case with Honda Silverwings), there should be 2 brake hoses attached to the front caliper. 
One would go to the front master cylinder (MC) and the other would go to the rear MC. 
Thus the front brake could be actuated by either (or both) MCs, but due to the number of caliper pistons involved, the applied action might not be equal for both MCs.

My GV (2009) has only 1 hose to the front caliper, so it does not have linked brakes. 
I would like linked brakes if it were well engineered, but happy enough with the present system.

Well, I can answer my own question now - yes, there are linked brakes on the '10 Grand Vista...

Took delivery on the bike on Wednesday. The owner's manual is small but there was a section on brake operation.

I got to ride for about an hour around the neighborhood last night and she's a beautiful bike.

I was surprised at just how stable the GV is... much more stable than the Vino... I suppose it is those big fat 12" tires... I LIKE IT!

But now I must work on cornering because that is a whole different experience. I live in canyon country where twisties are a fact of life.

Great!  I love the looks of the GV.  I expect you'll get the hang of it's handling in the corners and learn that you like it very much.  Congratulations!

Thanks! I got another hour ride in last night around the neighborhood and my cornering is getting much better.

I am super tickled with the bike... I knew it would be a good bike, I just didn't know HOW nice... it makes me smile every time I look at it.

Last night I was impressed with just how linear the throttle is... smooth as glass and that certainly helps my riding. The engine, in spite of being brand spanking new and pretty darn tight, sounds fabulous...

I suppose my only complaint and it's minor, is the seat is pretty hard... but that is an easy remedy...

Give the seat some time to break in.  Firmer seats normally take about 500 miles to break in, re-evaluate it after that.  I like mine firm - the soft mushy seats are only comfortable for short rides.
