Hot Ride Today 90 degrees
« on: May 11, 2011, 02:56:55 AM »
Rode 50 miles today on my ne Super 8 150. I am also 250 plus pounds. I hope this engine last with my weight. It was very nice. I have hit 110 miles. This thing scoots me around town nicely but I will be looking at the bigger 300's at the end of the summer. Kymco52

I'm still well below 100 miles on my new Agility 125. Wanted the S8 150, but happy with what I got. Even though I am constantly rolling on and off and keeping below 35 MPH for break-in it seems to have ample power for around town uses. Last couple days have been cooler and know the heat waves will be here soon. After surfing the web I found a nice Power Trip $200 mesh jacket for <$80 delivered. It's got Honda VTX patches that I plan to promptly remove to "civilize" it and increase air flow.

I'm in Tampa, FL, and have already had some wiched-hot rides this year.  A mesh jacket is a must.  I also ditched the windscreen for more air-flow at speed.  I'm not sure that was smart actually.  It cost me a good amount of top speed, and the real problem with the heat is when you're stopped anyway.  I hate red lights in the summer (even more)!

Jacket should arrive later today. Been cold (50-60 deg) and very windy here in CA. I thought I might also mention that the Scorpion 3/4 EX0-200 helmet has two front and a rear adjustable vents for cooling. Has been hard to gage effectiveness since my speeds are not high and thus do not force a lot of air through. I can feel a little flow and think it will make a big difference once temps hit 85-100+.
