FORK RETAINER HEX?

hi there can any one tell me what size the fork retainer hex is? (the one in the inside of the fork that stops the piston coming out of the cylinder) as i need to go out and bye one long enough so i can seperate the fork and then chop it.

I am having the same issue.. it's pretty big...
A tip was given to me...... take a bolt and stick inside there and use vise grips to loosen the nut. That'll give you a homemade allen wrench to the correct size, THEN you can take the real nut with you and get the correct allen wrench...... Hope this helps.....Keep us posted...

Buy a set of inhex sockets. Very handy down the track when you want a large allen key, that you just don't have. I don't use mine very often, but I am glad I have them when I need them.
