Oil Change

I made the 1000KM oil change today and I'm slightly concerned about how the oil screen goes back in. I think the spring sits down into the drain plug bowl and the screen sits on that. It seemed to go back together that way but not being a mechanic or having a service manual  I hopefully didn't do someyhing stupid as I am very good at it. I did find several small pieces of metal in the screen and was surprised by the amount. If someone can comment before I do any damage I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I changed the oil in my P150 a couple of months ago and found some metal pieces in the screen also.  I was a little surprised too, but it doesn't smoke or use oil and it runs great.  Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly how the spring and screen fit together.

I used to build race engines for a living (SCCA ProRally mostly) and after about 10 minutes of running time I'd change the oil and filter. I'd than cut the filter open and it always amazed me at the amount of detritus I'd find after going to great lengths to insure that all the clearances were right and the engine was assembled clean.

The point I'm trying to make here is that it's nothing to worry about. Small bits of metal are inherent in a new engine.

It is very necessary for Every one to get a oil change at once point of time for every vehicle Owners. I would strongly recommended every one that oil change is quite about to run your vehicle 2500 Kilometers.  Chestrol oil is the best for every bike and Scooters.

yes, fit the screen into the spring. fit it on the inside of the drain plug then incert into the engine. Any other way will be difficult and incorect. Also, Yes! change the oil at the recomended intervalse. Drain the old oil when the engine is still warm. Scoot On!!
