Kymco 450cc Engine In Another Bike | Husqvarna SMQ

The Husqvarna SMQ was introduced yesterday at EICMA 2008.  Just like the BMW G 450 X enduro, it uses a Kymco built 450cc single.

BMW  bought  HUSKY in  July  of  2007

Digging up an old topic, but I found another article mentioning Kymco building engines for Husqvarna (BMW).

But Husqvarnas have been assembled in Varese, Italy, since the brand was bought by an Italian cycle maker, Cagiva, which subsequently sold it to BMW Motorrad of Germany. Which has outsourced the engine production to Kymco of Korea. Which actually produces the engines in Taiwan.
