New colors for 2012?
« on: June 13, 2011, 01:52:42 PM »
It looks like the 2012 is getting new colors:

I'm currently waiting for a Super 8 to be available in the Phoenix AZ area.  If there are new colors I don't mind  waiting so much  ;D

This is a nice color combo and graphics package.
It will be harder to be seen on this, but it is will be nice to be seen on it, if you catch my drift.
An older lady called my yellow and blue Super 8 "cute", to which I laughed and said thanks.
I get some smiles from the younger ladies, but that is because they want to ride my scooter.
It is hard to be bad-ass on these things, unless 70 mpg is bad-ass!
Cheers

the blue/yellow model does have high visibility as a plus side.  I was hoping to find the yellow/blue but would probably pull most of the decals of if I did.

But there's always bright jackets and helmets :)

I don't need girls chasing me around anyway, that tends to get my wife annoyed. :P

I have the perfect commute for a scooter.  8 miles and I already take side streets to avoid rush hour madness.   I was hoping to get the scooter before it got to warm around here to enjoy riding tho..  Super 8 is totally sold out in Phoenix and a couple of the dealers have the 2012 model on order so it's just a matter of time.

Seeing the new look makes it a little easier to wait.

The kymco usa site has been updated now as well. It looks like there will be a blue/white, red/white, and black/silver model, but pictures are coming soon.  I imagine the one shown is the red/white model.

That's a nice looking scoot!  Do you have the blue/white one over there?  It's the only color combo I haven't seen yet.

Yes they do have the blue and white but it's very hard to find at the smaller dealers.

I just got a call from my dealer, and they have 2012 models in stock now!    It sounds like he only has red, but I think that's what I like best for visibility reasons.   I'd like to see that blue one though.

I stopped by the Tucson dealer - he has one 2011 red Super 8 left. What's the difference I wonder between the 2011 Red one and the 2012 Red one? I had really hoped to see the yellow/blue one back for 2012.
This is the first news I've heard, that the new 2012's are starting to hit the dealers floors! I was set on a Super 8 until I saw the new People GTi's. Now I MUST HAVE a "Stormtrooper white" 200cc People instead.... financed probably.

If I had the cash to grab a people GTi, I think I'd get a used piaggio mp3 instead.  There are a few with low miles around for less then the GTi, and those mp3s are sweet in the twisties.

I saw that Scoot Over had a couple Super 8s, but there haven't been any in Phoenix for the last couple of months and I was told Kymco sold out of the late models S8s and only the 2012s will be available from here on out.

Tucson now has several 2012 Super 8's (as of Thurs. 7/14/11). The colors look nice up close.

I almost bought one of those '12 Super 8s, but jumped up to a piaggio mp3 400 instead!  I'm glad I went bigger, and I got it for around what a people GTi would have run me.

Hi guys, I'm a newbie from the Philippines. I have a 4 month old black Super 8. All stock except for led park lights.
