OMG! I can't believe it just happened!

A cop stopped me for going 40 mph. and informed me that 50cc unregistered and unlicensed scooters were not allowed to travel over 30 mph.  Thank god he let me go, because he said that they could have taken my scooter and thrown me in jail.  Not to mention the 120 jail sentence I would've had for violating probation.  Of course I played dumb and told him I didn't realize the law and that scoots could be modified to go that fast.

I guess I know now that the cops around here are not ignoring the 50cc scooter population.

Unlucky, same rules apply over here, thats why I ride with one eye on my mirror before I hit the dizzy speeds of 45-48mph!

So, how do they know it's a 50cc and not a 125 or 150?

you need a license plate for scoots over 50cc.

50cc scoots usually have only one rear shock , most larger cc scoots have dual rear shocks .

Agility 125 = 1 shock.

Really , strange the kymco usa specification sheet says dual rear shocks . Must be a typo .
