Jet size with 80cc?

Anyone have any recommendations on what jet size I should try out first once I install an 80cc kit? I was thinking 85

105 on a 72cc? I guess I'm way off, I was thinklin 90 or 95 on my 80cc. How long have you been running it? The plug isn't fouled at all?

I'm using #88 with a 72cc with stock cylinder head, airbox and carb.

By the way : with a 4T it will always take a while before the plug picks up some colour at the tip, that's why you need to do a "plug chop" if you really want to be sure quickly, the colouring starts at the bottom of the insulator, which you can only see if you literally remove the threads of the plug...

Yea I planned on doing a plug chop as soon I get the kit in just wasn't sure what size jet to start with since it will be 80cc, new head and performance air filter. Still not sure but I'm thinkin start with a 105 and work my way up if needed.

80cc I assume you are going with the nyc parts I also have done what you are doing. Just a heads up I had massive compression issues. It might have been a fluke but heads up.

Oh, and the kit I'm probly purchasing is actually Motofino brand. Hopefully the same issues don't arise.

it stays a tad bit lean on cool clear days and when it's humid it gets a little rich, i've been running it for 3200 miles and only fouled a plug once and it was 95 degrees and raining that day but keep in mind i have an open air filter and an aftermarket exhaust; therefore I need more gas than someone with a stock airbox & exhaust

Sounds like its pretty tricky to get the right balance, I think I'm gonna take the suggestion from someone earlier and get some torch tip cleaners and do some toying around with it to find the correct size. But I will definitely keep in mind the temperature and stuff while I'm doing it, I didn't know it could have such an effect on the plugs.

yea the torch tip cleaners are the way to go as long as you have a soldering gun or an extra jet or 2 thats what i used but mine have labels as to what size they are and mine is at 1.05mm which is a 105 jet size my next one up is 1.08mm and it was way rich but the 1.05 is about perfect for my setup

It sounds like we have a pretty similar set up for intensive purposes aside from the cc size of our kits. I think I'm gonna start off with a 110 or 115...

i'm not quite sure you'll need to go that high especially if you have the stock exhaust but hey if it doesn't work then try try again

I have an NCY exhaust, similar set up to yours. I wanted to ask you where you got your kit how, long you've had it and if you were happy with the quality?

I'm buying a new one tomorrow and can't decide if I want a 72cc or 80cc kit and I'm kind of worried about the ones coming from china.
