On my commute in, 12 mi one way, finding that the hills and a couple 45mph posted roads weren't cutting it on the Agility 50 I have, which I really like, though. So started looking for used alternatives on Craigslist and found a 2009 Super 8 150 with 2000 miles on it for less than $1500, so I'm' driving the 250 miles on Thurs to pick it up. Should be a nice upgrade in terms of keeping up better with the 45 mph traffic, and climbing the few hills I have where I've experienced speed reductions to 20mph in some situations on the Agility 50. The Super 8 150 is green. Looks really sharp and clean. I wasn't being too picky about other options and in fact also discussed with an older gentleman, a People 250S for $1950 with 7000 miles on it, and also a People 200S with 500 miles on it for $2100.
In the end, it came down to "how much scoot do I really need" for my use, which is the occasional scoot into work, then around my small town where the speed limit never goes aboe 30mph. Then you figure in our shortened Wisconsin riding season, and it made sense to not really drop more than I am comfortable with and the Super 8 150 sems to fit just fine and hoping I'm making a wise choice.
I wonder what the weight limit would be on riding with a passenger if wifey wanted to scoot around town with me? I'm 190 and wife is probably 140.
