How far after Fuel Light comes on can you go?

Since the bike is new for me and I've been doing a lot of riding with it, I'm curious as to what other people have experienced for miles after the fuel light comes on?

I really don't want to take the chance and run it out of gas and haven't gotten to my first fill up yet so if anyone out there knows a ballpark figure I'd appreciate it. I'm at 1/2 a tank now and was going to fill it when it hit 1/4.

Can't find anywhere in the manual where it tells you how much fuel is left when the fuel light comes on, it just says to get fuel as soon as possible!

I don't know the answer to that but I got a bit confused at first because when you get down to last bar on the guage it starts flashing on and off which is a bit disconcerting.  It was only when I read the book again that I realised there is also an illuminated warning light when you get really low!

It's difficult to ignore the flashing LCD so I have never got to the stage of the warning light yet.

But I assume :

Flashing LCD bargraph = "you might like to think about a fill-up"

Illuminated warning lamp = ""if you don't fill-up now I'm gonna stop"

Another question - if you do run out can you just fill it up and everythings OK - or is there anything to prime or any special starting sequence?

I have the same question. I think I've gone about 20 miles +/- a few. Didn't hit the warning light, just the blinking fuel gauge.

haven't hit the warning light just the blinker. Supposedly we have 3.2 Gallon capacity with 0.3 gallons as the reserve but I have put in 2.943 gallons and no warning light at the time and I was still at one (flashing) bar............

I have just done my first fill up as well. Got the flashing display and drove another 20 km.
Filled up with 10.24 L thus had still 2.25 L spare.  
This should at least allow me to drive another 50 km, before empty.

Well, I ran out last night 

Was on my way home on the highway and noticed the flashing bar, pulled off the first exit to get gas (not sure how long the bar was flashing but I was about 15 miles from the start of my trip). I didn't notice the illuminated warning lamp.

I passed up the first gas station because they are known to have bad fuel and I knew there was another 2 miles down the road. Well, the left lane was closed ahead and I got stuck sitting in traffic. I could see the gas station as the engine started to sputter. I got another 100 yards before she died.

So, I pushed the bike up the sidewalk towards the gas station only to see that it was closed and the nearest was 2 miles behind me 

Luckily, I was across the street from the dealership that I bought my scooter from so I locked it up, walked across the street and they were kind enough to walk a can of gas out to me!

I would say, to be comfortable, when the last fuel bar starts flashing, pull over and get gas!

I always do. At that point I am usually 2.5 Gallons down. This usually happens about 175-180 miles from the last fill. If it is all highway I get to about 200 miles. I usually though have to pull over for a smoke well before the tank runs out anyway.............
