Underseat storage-Helmet
« on: July 07, 2011, 01:40:22 AM »
So i was looking at purchasing a 2nd helmet. i was looking at a cheaper one. i found a full-face helmet on ebay. It ended up not fitting in the seat!!! Does the agility not fit a full helmet or was it just the specific model. If anyone has had success with full face helmets, does an afx helmet work???!!?! please help.

I do also have a full-face helmet, and it fitted easily in the underseat storage, before i putted an autoradio in it :D The next thing you can do, is getting a topbox, where it will fit nicely ;)
First Kymco agility 50 (2008) 11.000+ km (dead)
Second kymco agility 50 (2010) 20.000+ km. Project Fuel Injection. Stolen.

For what it's worth.....two things that I bought for the agility that turned out well were a windshield and a modestly priced, lockable top box, with mounting frame.
The box sits rather like an egg on the very rear most part of the scooter frame and has at least, if not more space than the underseat compartment.  It was sold as being adoptable to the agility, but I was not able afterward to completely lower the seat back so that a passenger could be seated....which in my case did not matter............Anyone wanting to pick up groceries or take a weekend trip would find that this set-up could handle as much as he might cary in his arms or on his back...adding in a net or a few bungie cords.....Good luck

Where did you get your top box?

My full face helmet fits in, but only one way round. My wifes helmet wont fit in tho unless I kind of force the seat down on it a bit, once it locks its fine.

Got a topbox too off ebay 2nd hand but rarely use it unless I need to carry something that wont fit under my seat. Still useful to have one tho.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

nfoxx24.....bought scooter top box/trunk on ebay about two years ago.  I looked there just now but could not find that particular design.....Things do change.
I could not find any paperwork for it.  Don't think there really was any except for mounting instructions.
It came with mounting hardware and as best I remember was middling priced (say $30-$50 maybe a little more)...there is a reflector on the back and has a seat rest on the front..comes with two keys...the letters TMS on top....no lights on it.
You will want to do some research on it before you buy...maybe ask a dealer for advice on size and mounting to fit your back rack.....I just took my chances, and it did not turn out too badly.
.............Good luck

Could you post a pic of your scoot with the top case you bought off of e-bay?  I have several that I am considering in that same $30-$50 price range, but I'm concerned what they might look like on my scoot.

Chaos is my co-pilot.

encya.....I'm an old f--t that has never figuered out how to post pics online however, if you look at the ebay pictures for scooter top box or scooter trunk you will find a few shown on scooters to get an idea.

I had been having a lot of trouble recently with erratic DSL speeds on my computer.  Trying just about everything that I could think of.....finally had a break thru today by disconnecting and blowing compressed air thru the modem air vents to dislodge the dust (several years worth) that might be covering the circuit board inside...and WOW....the speed immediately came back up to full......Keeping my fingers crossed now.

Back to the scooter..........Lets face it ..next to a hot motorcycle a scooter with or without a trunk is not exactly sexy, but hey put a four foot high flag on the back as well as I did and at least you will stand out in a crowd.
If you are a sexy guy..........thats all that matters.............Good luck
