Givi 450 case installation- Success!

Well after removing my seat and diving into the wiring of the brake and turn signal lighing set-up, I finally was successful in getting everything to work properly on this Givi 450 installation.  If anyone needs the wiring combination for a 2009 X500, let me know.  I would definitely recommend the LED kit from admorelighting.com.  High-intensity output through the lens on the Givi, and really looks cool at night.  Would love to show you guys some pictures, but cannot seem to get that to work.  Any good ideas on an easy way to do that?

Hi smf500.  I can't say about the plastic parts since I've never removed that.  However, I know how those shock bolts can be.  Could you try removing the bottom bolt for that shock?  I think then you'd find the top one could be managed fine with the bottom one out.  I've had the bottom bolt out on the exaust side several times and, yes, even the bottom one gets to be in a bind when near the end of it's threads but it is more manageable since you can get your hands on things down there.

Good Advice...If you ever have to change the tire,  You will likely
remove that lower bolt first.  I believe the whole shock needs to be
removed.  That top bolt needs a hand wrench and it's not easy.  But
it's a lot easier with the bottom one out.  You might consider removing the
inner under seat box.  Most Kymco's are easy to do this on,  but you'll
likely have to remove the seat also.

The normal procedure to install the Givi rack is to remove the seat and seat box first. You have better access to the top bolts but it is still a PITA. When I did mine I think I could only move the bolt one flat at a time. It was fun to get the bolts started back in too. Perhaps removing the lower bolts may help.

Thanks to all for the help.  Once I put the bike on the center stand, and relieved the pressure by putting a block under the tire, the bolt came out fine.  I did not have to remove the bottom bolt thankfully.  It also helped by using a flat headed ratchet.  Case is now installed .  Now onto wiring the light kit for the brake and turn signals.
