Hey guys, Im new to the forum and just purchased a used 2008 agility 50. It looks like the scooter has had a hard life from what i can tell, but i got a good deal on it. It didnt run, and the guy said it was a carb problem, but he also gave me another carb when i bought it. So after changing the carb, engine oil, and spark plug, i finally got it running. I noticed the CDI has been changed, its a orange box instead of the normal black box with green terminals, so im not sure what it came out of or if its aftermarket. Also i noticed the carb i installed has a slightly bigger bore than the old stock one, id say it looks more like 19mm than 17mm. After getting it all cleaned up and driving it around town, the top speed is right around 40mph, but if im going down a hill or slop it will reach around 43mph. But there is a weird noise around 43mph, kinda like a rattling sound, and it has me worried. It sounds like it may be coming from the engine/transmission area. I dont think the variator or clutch boss have been changed, but ive never had it apart yet. Is it possible the motor is over revving and causing the rattle? Sorry for the long post, but just wanna make sure its nothing serious. Any ideas or help is welcome. Thanks in advance!
