I went from a "no power" situation to hesitation while accelerating. I cleaned out the jets, that seemed to get it basically running. Now, if you dump the throttle quickly, it will almost die. There's virtually no power for a few seconds. If you ramp up more slowly, it will do better but still hesitate. Once you're up to full throttle it's fine. Also, the idle is a bit rough. I finally figured out there's an "air screw" and a "throttle stop screw" but I'm not real clear (even after searching) what exactly the function of both of these air and how they should be adjusted. I'm assuming the air screw is the mixture screw and that's the one that should be out 2.5 (to start with anyway)? I can't find anything on I would normally assume would be the idle speed screw (the throttle stop screw). It doesn't seem to function like one and I can located the nominal adjustment. What does this screw do and how should it be adjusted (where do I start)?
I (and the wife!) would greatly appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
BB
