I have been having some rough engagement at low speed lately.  Local scooter shop said could be worn rollers.  I opened mine up yesterday to look.  Had to do way too much work to get to the rollers - someone did some BAAAADDD design, but that's another story.  When I got to the rollers I found 3 of them had flat spots on them - possibly my problem??  2 of the 3 had flat spots that were consistent across the length of the roller.  The third one had a flat spot that was angles to its length.  I am going to order some new rollers.  Does anyone know if I can get better than stock?  If so please leave me the exact details of where and what to get.  I guess at 7k it is common to have to change rollers out.

Unbelievable!!  The Dr. Pulley sliders I had in my Honda Big Ruckus are exactly the right size for my ps250 - anxious to see how they work out - a tad lighter - 18 grams each as I recall.  Taking the body off was HELL - but its off - doing plug and valve adjust is breezy.  Putting it all back together has me scared.

After just a couple days the shudder came back.  I opened it back up and took out the clutch and blew it out really good.  Sanded the pads a bit - they had brown dust over the majority of their exposed areas, just showing wear (clean)on lead and tail areas  Sanded them lightly - took very little effort to get dust off.  2 days now and all seems well - I can still feel the shudder area on acceleration, but not the shudder.  It happens somewhere between when the clutch first starts to engage and when it is fully engaged - slips causing shudder.  I wonder if I can upgrade the spring for firmer engagement?  It is fine the way it is now - I just think the shudder will come back in time.  Also measured the pads and belt which appear to have a lot of life left.

Could it be the belt causing the shudder by slipping?

People swear by Dr. Pulley sliders.

I say they are crap.

On my gf's Agility 2-3 out of 6 started getting stuck at higher revs, did not come back to initial position after revs were dropped.

After 800 kms I pulled them out and replaced with regular rollers. Never looked back.

I bet your shudder is caused by sliders that are stuck and cannot get back to initial position in the ramp.

had the shudder first - then added dr pulley - then shudder came back (never really went away) - I am positive it is in the clutch or belt.  The clutch most likely.  It has stopped since I cleaned things up in the clutch and I still have the Dr Pulleys in.  They give me a tad better low end acceleration, plus I already had them so I didn't have to order new ones when I first discovered the flat spots on the OEM rollers, which may not have been the problem anyways!  My Aprilia has similar troubles when you first start out - kind of shudders then catches - on either bike if you accelerate quickly the shudder would not happen.  It may be the scooter protesting my weight!
