Kymco Vitality 50 4T

My Vitality 50 4T keeps draining its battery.  I am on the second battery and now it appears to be dead.  The fuses look okay.  When kick started a meter shows that there are 14+ volts being supplied to the battery.  However when the scooter is warm it is hard to keep it running and when it dies the electric starter will not work.   In fact the electrc starter will not work at anytime.  Can anyone help with any suggestions?

What's the voltage of the battery after engine stopped?
What discharging current does the multimeter show when engine is stopped and ignition on/off? If there is an indication you can pull fuses to identify the discharging circuit.
What charging current does the multimeter show when engine is running at medium revs? (First set multimeter to high ampere!)

A very, very simple test you can do is connect a multi meter to the battery terminals and measure the voltage. Keep the meter connected and twist the throttle. The voltage should go up as the revs increase.

Do all ypur lights works ashey should? Are any of them dim? I had a similair issue on my a50 and it was due to a faulty regulator/rectifier.

Yes, as I rev the engine the volts do go up and the lights get brighter when I rev it, thanks.

It seems like you battery is charging then? Is it working now or still not right?

It is still not right and now that it has had its 3000Km the problems have gotten worse not it tops out at 45kM/HR WHEN IT USED TO DO 69-65nMJ/HR

45km/h (kph) is perfect for an EU-legal moped. But what is "nMJ"?

So does everything seem to work until the engine is warmed up?  Once warmed - are you still reading 14+v?  I would check the voltage regulator first.  If you have the service manual then also check the rest of the charging system components once the bike is warmed up.

The electric starter doesn't ever work?  Does it not crank at all, crank but not turn the engine fast enough, only make ticking sounds?

Is the battery well grounded?

When my voltage regulator went at the start of the yr my lights went dim, like a torch with old batteries in it, and my battery went flat every.week or 2. Swapped the regulator and its been fine since.

Thanks for the suggestions!  I will look at them it the stupid mechanic can not fix it.  Since the bike would not perform after he did the 3000Km checkup, I took it back to him and told him to fix what he screwed up!
