HELP!!! Mods/Derestrictions = worse performance on 2011 Super 8 50cc 2T

I have to squeeze the belt together a couple of times in the middle to get the belt to slide off the boss after I pull the var outside plate off. It is all the way down and tight.

..thats normal, and the right thing to do, but  is your belt going all the way out on the driven pulley like in that pic?

No. It is 1/4inch lower that in this pic. In the pic I had taken the belt off the boss and picked it up some.

Not sure yet. Stock OEM with 300 miles in it.

..the  inner surface of the pulleys should taper down, uninteruppted, all the way to the driven pulley's "hub"...
