2011 kymco super 8 2t
« on: September 08, 2011, 05:23:28 PM »
Hello all,
I'm having trouble finding parts that fit this new scoot. does anyone have any experience on the 2011? If you have any ideas on what parts fit this bike leave a post. Ive looked around a while now, and can not find anything that says it works with the kymco super 8 2t... is it to new of a bike? Are there too many bells and whistles in the guts to mod it? The cdi on this new bike doesnt even have the 2 wires to snip. ive taken a look at almost everything i can unbolt. A racing variator. and maybe new clutch springs are the only thing i can find that says it will work. yet not even those parts say it will work on the 2011 kymco super 8 2t......this new scoot.  Im looking for any help from anyone on this matter. I feel unsafe only going 37 on a flat, 30 up a hill in a 40. lot of elderly will jsut pass me creating unsafe riding conditions. 4-5 mph more is all i need out of it. any help will be appreciated. I like riding my scoot!!!! just dont want to have a road rage incident for me goign 2 mph under the limit. some people out here in minnesota have no patience. Thanks for any and all help.

My mechanic has a Super 8 2T. Really sharp looking scoot. He's picked up an aftermarket pipe for his and said it made all the difference. I think his MPG may have increased as well. Email me through this site if you can, or through my site (see sig) and I'll ask him tomorrow for you.

Leo Vince ZX Chrome Pipe (comes with rollers)

Stock jets, no other changes, substantial increase in power.

Hope this helps!

You have de-restricted the variator, right? On my super 9 2t it added at least 10 mph and got there a lot faster. Do a search on how to do it if you haven't already. Check the tech section, it is really easy. Don't ride it until you do. Huge difference. :o

I have the 2 basic de-restrics done, that came with the scoot.  smooth not shouldered variator washer. and up jet. i still do not break 40mph ever on flat.
