Whats you average top speed on your de-restricted A50?

Trying to find what the average speed everyone gets is. Im not talking about your best ever speed down the steepest hill you could find, just your average top speed that you achieve on most days, under normal conditions. Seems some folk cannot get over 42mph while some get 45+ mph all day long, be interesting to see what the poll shows up.

Only 50cc please, no big bore kits.

PLEASE BE 100% HONEST, this is important. If you lie it will just f**k up the result and we wont know anything except that  we are all a bunch of lying bast*rds, and im talking about the speed shown on your A50's speedo gauge, not gps speed.

If you want to add what set up you run then do that to after you vote in the reply bit.

REMEMBER,PLEASE BE HONEST HERE GUYS, THERE IS NO POINT IN LYING,WE ALL KNOW YOU CANT EVER GET 80MPH OUT OF AN A50 UNLESS YOU TIED IT TO A ROCKET OR THROW IT OFF A CLIFF  ;D THE POLL IN ANON ANYWAY SO WE WONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE IF YOU POST A SLOW SPEED.

Here is my set-up at present,

Jan 2008 registered, 16,000km on the clock (de-restricted at 11,000km when i'd had it a month)

Usual derestrict (boss,jet,cdi cut)
Race variator
5.5g rollers
Nakura 729x18x30 belt
1000rpm torque spring
1500rpm fly springs
Stock plug
Stock airbox
Stock exhaust
Bridgestone ML50 Mola tyres

45-47mph most days on the flats, 45mph everyday unless its windy. 47-49mph down good hills (have hit 50-51mph on 7.5g rollers down good hills but was a nightmare getting back up the other side ;D ).

26-27mph up pretty steep hills, 30mph up med-steep hills, 40mph up low hills (unless from a standing start).

Mine is just de-restricted BOSS and Jet, CDi is unristricted on MY10+

Not Maxed out yet with only having 101Km on the clock and whilst not tootling it not going full beans either. But it is still pulling passed 40mph on the Speedo so manufactures de-restricted quote of 42mph seems feasible maybe 44mph.

I posted at 42-44 mph.  Sometimes a little more.  Sometimes a little less.

Usual derestrict (boss,jet,cdi cut)
Polini Race variator
6.0 g Dr Pulley Sliders
Stock Bando 729x18x30 belt
1000rpm torque spring
Stock plug
Stock airbox
Stock exhaust
Stock Tires
Royal Purple 10w40  Max Cycle fully synthetic motor oil

I believe the longer recommended Polini belt would help.  At last check I was also getting 145 mpg. also, which is the highest I've ever heard of on an AG50.

To be honest I would rather know everybodys 0 - 40 mph times.  It seems like a far more valuable gage of performance than any other.

It maybe difficult Encya to hold my phone between my knees and press the stopwatch app to measure my time   while riding  ;D
If it was me i would try the longer pollini belt, the multivar is meant to be slightly  larger diameter so a longer belt is better, i guess the pollini is the same? Doesnt cst much for a belt anyway to try?

Mine is derestricted from dealer.  So as far as I know cut CDI, Jet change, and washer removed from boss.

NO VARIATOR CHANGE.

On a flat surface with little to no wind affecting me

Based on Speedo as you say I average around 45 to 47 MPH.

But based on actual GPS speed I am averaging around38 to 41 MPH.

LOL! Yeah I know that was part of my reason for posting the 0-40 mph times thought, was to get different ideas on a good way to do it.

You have 2 hands, one on thd throttle, one holding your timing device. You're on a 50cc scoot, not a rocket sled.:D
ZX50, 47mm cyl. kit, TZR50 CDI. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres,
Next performance mod; pumping the tyres up.

Till the old bill gives you a £60 fine and 3 points on your licence >:(  :-*

Someone needs to do a Scooter App like iMap my ride but for scooters that will also sense and calculate 0-40 times  ;D

I know you don't  :) I have no power of arrest or anything in Scotland only England and Wales!!!

Without derestriction the A50 would not accelerate as fast or keep up with traffic safely TBH

I have done my CBT and intend to do my 125 licence next year 50cc is good and my A50 great but I feel a 125 would be safer next time round. A50 is a good way to start and will do a good two years easily before my CBT runs out.
