Dead Battery, Maybe
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:34:48 PM »
My battery appears to be dead, dead, dead. I wasn't even able to kick start it. Should I be able to kick start it? If the battery is dead does that mean the auto-chock won't work either? If I was to jump it from another scooter would everything work like it should until I shut it down again?

Yes you should be able to kick start it with a dead battery. This is once reason its there. Now your lights and evrything should work once running but it will be harder on your charging system running it with a dead battery.

I jumped my agility more times than I should have. I used a car battery positive to positive etc, no problems. check your fuses. you should be able to kick it easily especially since it is colder now. your brake light should come on when the key is in the 'on' position if the battery is good and/or if you are hooked up to a jumper battery. of course you need to have the hand brake on when kicking/jumping...check the electrical connection to the handbrake if the brake light doesn't light. maybe your kill switch?
