P50 2009 2stroke
« on: September 16, 2011, 06:16:55 AM »
Hi I'm new to the forum and to scooters as well.  Was wondering if I could get help on derestricting this scooter without spending (if possible)?  I live on an island and I just need it to go about 40-45mph.  Right now it's hitting about 30-35 on flat road and I haven't taken it out to the main road yet cuz I don't wanna hold up to much traffic haha.  Any help will do….........thanks in advance!!!!!

There is lots of information available on the search feature of this forum also on youtube . My 2002 people 50 will more than bury the speedometer at 80 kph without any aftermarket parts . Good luck .

Ya just trying to do some research of the type of mods done.  I took a look at the CDI box but no green wire to disconnect only green wire there is hooked up the harness that plugs into the CDI.  What kind of mods did you do to yours??

I bought it used but I was told it came from new the dealer like it is . You might look for restrictions at the clutch boss and possibly in the exhaust . You should easily be able to acheve your goal .Good luck .

There should be plenty of info in this board. Our ppl riders have left us  :'(.... Look up any post from "ART". He was the ppl man for a good bit here.
I do know that the '01-'02 yrs are faster than the newer ones. Hopefully soon we will have the info on the differences

Well I had the shoulder on the  boss drive shaved, and when I installed it back and drove it around I was amazed that just doing that would bring me to 45 consistently.  Havent done anything else...... maybe just changing the rollers to the same stock weight because I noticed when I took out the variator some of the rollers were a little scourged.
