If you have to ask, you probably don't have the special tools that you'll need so it's probably
a better idea to have someone else do it.

Special tools?!  I have all the tools needed to include an impact gun...  So when you say special tools, is this something special dreamed up tool?  Something that is not a normal mechanics tool?

I have to ask as I have never done the roller weights on a scooter before.  I have rebuilt a motorcycle engine from top to bottom, rebuilt the transmission on a Jeep Wrangler before, but never taken on the task of roller weights.

Oh and thanks to Cortez, I have found already what I was looking for.  Seems like a fairly simple task to replace the weights.  That is once you get past arrogance in some forums.

There are no special tools involved all you need is an 3/8 impact with a 17mm socket. This a very simple thing to do. people get to critical on these forums  do not let it get to you, you also need a 10mm socket to take the two air cleaner housing bolts off and a 8mm socket to take the cvt cover off it is very easy, just make sure that you get the splines on the kick start washer in line  with the splines before you tighten it down, I have seen this happen very often, and use caution when installing the cvt cover just use hand tools on these bolts ,I would use sliders as they work much better than rollers 13grms worked good for me but it depends on how much you way and if you want top end or 0 to 60mph, good luck , bthmtech email me at bthmtech007@yahoo.com if you need more info good luck,   bryan

Quick update on the roughness and vibration problem. Scooter at 2870KM and I can hardly feel it anymore. The fix, hold down the brake and give it full throttle twist, totally worked. Thanks.

Most people here DON'T have the impact gun, and yes, then you DO need a special tool that you wouldn't use for anything
else to hold the CVT and prevent it from turning.
