Touch Up Paint Question
« on: September 19, 2011, 05:20:13 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with touch up paint?  I have a 2007 people 250 scooter that has some places on the left side from a previous owner who layed it down.  Not real bad, and I thought at first, I could live with it, but I decided I wanted to try to touch it up.  Got the part# from Kymco USA and ordered the paint from www.scootershop.com.  That was the only place I could find that had it, and it took over 2 weeks to finally get the paint.  I put a small amount of the paint on a spot that I wet sanded, and it looks too dark?!?  First time I've tried
this, so can anyone tell me if the paint get lighter once you buff it out or what? The color is the Charcoal Grey.

Also, I'm trying to find where I can buy a replacement rear turn signal cover.  I've looked online and haven't found it yet and don't know where to get the part# for it.

I got some touch up paint for mine.  Was hard to do - took me 6 weeks or so of constant hounding KYMCO usa to get me to a dealer who would do it.  Cost me about $15 for a fingernail polish size bottle, match was okish.
