Ludo,

That's completely awesome - thank you for finding that (and everyone else that worked on this damn challenge !)

I'll have to wait until after Christmas - with three kids needing gifts I don't have the extra cash just now.

Please do let us know how you like it.  I'll probably order mine in Feb / Mar.

You're welcome.
I think it's a pretty good deal.
I was going to do without but my frozen hands said otherwise ;D

Will report as soon as I get/install the screen!

I wouldn't mind getting one of those, the only thing I worry about is that it's only 3mm thick.
It's unsupported for 400mm's, some of the Givi's have been cracking due to the load but they
are a bit taller. Anyone know how thick a standard windshield is? I'm thinking 4 - 5 mm...

Well the CeeBailey's are 3.8mm and claim to be twice as thick as stock on a Tank scooter...

National Cycle's are 4mm - 4.5mm - Some for the scooter's are 3.0mm

The Isotta screen for the SYM RV300 on that forum:
http://symforum.com/index.php?topic=1760.0
is also 3mm thick and no one reported a problem with it besides some flexing at high speeds.

But this windscreen is MUCH taller than the one for the Yager.

I will tell you what I think as soon as I get it but in the worse case, I can always put some kind of foam between the bottom of the screen and the gauges cover... that should help if the screen flexes too much.

I had some Givi and Faco windshield on other scooters and I am pretty sure they were not thicker than 3-4mm and they all worked pretty good.

Well they do have a nice metal bracket to hold the bottom so I don't think you
can help any with adding some foam. The Givi is much larger too so it will probably
be OK.

I saw those comments about the flexing - but thought the same thing, the Yager windscreen is shorter.

When I get one I'll put the foam in right off - why not ?

I do see the two support brackets, but I'll add the foam to spread the stress load.
I don't know that the stress load would even be a problem with this shorter windscreen.
I'll take the 'belt and suspenders' approach.

I do wonder why they don't use slightly thicker stock.

Windscreen Medium Protection with mount A/420 for DINK (07')
« Reply #53 on: November 27, 2012, 10:13:40 AM »
Hi Guys,

My name is Erjon Galanxhi.
I would like to thank Ludo, inviting me in this discussion.
Also I would like to thank the Admin of KymcoForum.com for creating this good looking forum and
all the readers and posters mentioning our webshop Euronetbike.net and my name.

In short I just need to mention what we can do for you.
- We ship internationally almost everywhere in the world from Vienna, Austria.
From our experience shipping to Canada, USA, Australia there isn`t any additional customs tax (as far as we know).
So the total price of the screen is only  SCREEN COST + SHIPPING FEE = TOTAL COST (We use only Paypal or Bank Transfer)
For EU nations it is imposed 20% VAT tax.
Shipping period before January 2013 still will be 3 - 4 weeks
(NEW: Starting from January we have contract with DHL Express and the shipping period will be from 3 - 18 days depending on the stock)

- If you are not sure if the screen fits to your bike, check the installation manual how it is going to fit on your bike.
Still not sure then do not hesitate to contact us because we are authorized dealer of Isotta,
and we can ask Isotta`s technicians who made the screens for each of you.
Most of the installation instructions are in Italian, but if you are interested for your screen,
please drop us an email which manual you need and we will provide it in English.

- Every time you have good or bad experience please share it, like SymForum did.
From their sharing experience we requested to Isotta to produce higher quality screen for Sym RV250 - 300 models making thicker version.
Since October and on Isotta is producing 4 mm thick screen for RV 250-300 models.
Even the problem of flexing over 120 km/h was not coming from the screen thickness but from the original holders
of the screen which are not fixed even without the screen mounted. (We don`t know the reason why those brackets are not fixed from factory)

- If you like after you mounted the screen please send us some photo images to upload to our products descriptions.
This is very appreciated and you will make us more than happy.
As an example please see this link:
http://www.euronetbike.net/isotta/scooters/sym/joy-max-300-evo-09/windshield-medium-protection-full-attack-for-joy-max-300-evo-vers.2009.html

If I forget something to point out please contact us anytime. We try to support so far in different languages as English, Italian, German, Japanese and Russian.

Thank You for giving me a possibility to be part of KymcoForum.com.

My Best Regards to All

Erjon,

Thanks for joining the group.

As you can see, many of us Yager owners have been looking for a windscreen for a long time.

I'm glad Ludo found you and your company.

Erjon & Ludo, it just goes to show the quality of this forum.  I will wait for a report and a picture before ordering it for my Yager.  If the quality is good I will get the shorter one.

Rich & Group,

This may be a little off topic, but I gotta say I agree this forum is 'top shelf.'

The detailed info posted here is so varied and of such a high quality that it's like a wiki, or encyclopedia set (for ole guys like me.)

It's really a treasure.  What the heck did we ever do w/o the Internet ?  It was impossible to globally share info in a few seconds time with no effort at all.  Kids just can't imagine how much better it is.

I agree.... there is some great info here thanks to everyone.
Having someone from Kymco USA on the forum would be even better (like on SYM Forum)!

Btw, who runs this site?
It's important to question everything ;-)
