Adding some stuff
« on: October 19, 2011, 03:39:41 AM »
So I worked on the bike this weekend adding the GPS hardwire to power up when the key is on. I routed the wiring away from the forks. Came out really nice. Of course, I had to remove alot of plastic to do it right. While I was in there, I added a spare circuit for future use which is also key controlled.

I replaced my older Garmin gps with a newer model that has lifetime map updates. This time around, I used a RAM mount bolted directly to the leg shield. The wiring remained unchanged as both GPS's use the same mini usb connector. Power comes from the headlight circuit since it is key activated. Turn bike off, gps shuts off.

LOL I mop up evidence of the TR's corrosion protection daily  ;)  ;D
My wife got tired of me bitching while working under the car on jackstands. I piss and moan alot when I'm hungry  8).  So anyway she surprised me a couple of weeks ago with this delivery of a lift. One of my customers deals with automotive tools and she called him to find out what would work best. $1900 later and I have this. I spent a weekend installing it with the help of my wife getting the heavy posts up. I can't imagine working under my car without it. The garage looks bigger than it is... Property in Phoenix AZ is really inexpensive compared to NY where we are from.

Yeah, and keeping his grass at 3' tall to keep his property taxes undervalued  :D

We have to contend with the wolf spiders, scorpions and thousands of crickets. We have a mini vacuum for the critters.

Those! I don't like!... guess I'm still lucky with some cockroaches and mice... your usual household pests.

Are those wheels original Minilites? My son's car have Minilites.

Vivo, those are "Konig Rewinds". They were a great alternative with a wider cross section.
