New scooter owner in Central Texas
« on: October 21, 2011, 03:41:17 AM »
I just had a Kymco Xciting 500 drop in my lap so I am a new Kymco owner in the Marble Falls Tx area. Wondering if there are others in the area.

Several of us are nearby, in Texas terms at least.  I'm between Austin and Cedar Park.

If you're tall and want more legroom - the seat back can easily be modified to move back another 3/4 of an inch.  I added a set of bar risers for $18 and my arms are happier too.  You can search my posts for pictures and explanations of those if you want - they're both safe and easy.  I'm currently switching my blinkers over to LED and turning them into running lights with "magic blinkers", and I've got a Stebel horn to mount.

What year is your bike?

It's a 2007 that my elderly neighbor had. He bought it new and only put 50 miles on it.

Congratulations new Kymco owner.  I have a 2009 Exciting 500.  Didn't exactly drop in my lap but I did get a good price on it.  Was a 2009 factory demo with about 3,000 miles on it.  I've put about 3,000 more and loving every ride.  Lot's of power, smooth ride, great handling, and fun to ride.  I've only been riding on 2 wheels for about 2 years.  Got a cheap 150cc Chinese scoot to start off then upgraded to the 500cc.  Never thought I'd enjoying riding so much but I'm hooked now.  I'm 65 and just retired and loving life as I take every opportunity to scoot along!!  Live in So. Cal so almost year around riding weather.  Have fun and welcome to the Kymco Forum.
Have fun, Scooter 65
