well i also ride in jersey......you have gotten a lot of cold weather riding tips...so not much for me to add.....i use the handlebar mittens and they work for me.....as you can see...there is a lot of creativity and ingenuity involved in trying to " out wit"mother nature..... the wind and the actual temperature itself will determine your unique tolerance.....in the end you will probably find yourself riding a bit slower and maybe taking a bit longer to get to your destination...good luck

I made a scooter skirt. It took me about an hour and it works great. Yes it looks funny when you get off the scooter but when riding.....it keeps me warm.  All it is is a square with ties around the waist. I did round my off at the bottom a bit and added reflective tape to it.
Now I am interested in the hand warmer( wind reflectors ) made from a visor. I have to check out my scoot.

Drink a glass of high calorie energy drink. This will give additional body heat during cold days. ;)
