Refused to Start
« on: December 12, 2011, 08:36:06 AM »
My Agility refused to start this morning ended up using the car. Seemed to turn over fine but seemed like no spark?

I did wash the bike yesterday and towel dried it. Then as always started it after washing to check everything was ok.

Put WD 40 on the batter and CDI contacts just in case. Did however notice a brown spot on the side of the CDI case and also on the plastic were the CDI sits not sure if this is related. I would take a guess at moisture ingress somewhere. Maybe a case of leaving the bike to dry out.

Any idea or a similar problem suffered? If it is electrical will be a tad annoyed as second electrical fault since I have had it!

All sorted still refused to start tonight, so I used a hairdryer to dry and warm up all the ignition/CDI/battery connections. Took a wee bit of cranking but burst into life and running fine once again.....

Sounds like a good idea. I ran mine after I washed it and all was fine......moisture must of got into the electrics overnight.

that happens. I go to a car wash and spray it down and take for a small ride just so it well air dry.
whip down when I get home. but in the cold I just use a damp cloth and whip clean.
