Mirrors

While I like knowing my upper arms and armpits look good, I don't see any reason to constantly stare them while driving. (In other words, my mirrors don't extend out far enough.)

Does anyone have any suggestions for mirrors? I'm guessing any 8mm mirror will work?
Has anyone tried the mirrors that extend out the end of the handlebars?
