As per my knowledge GT 300i Oil Filter good for engine. I know some advantages of GT 300i Oil Filter like Reusable Technology, Limited Flow Restriction, Extended Life of Conventional Filters, Improved Reliability of Electro- hydraulic Valves, Quick Wear Metal Inspections and many more.

I did buy five (5) of these from OEMCycle.com and had a great online shopping experience:   Ordered last Wednesday, received them today in the mail (Monday).   Total price was 19.69 (14.70 for the 5 filters + 4.99 S&H).

Thanks guys for the "heads-up" I just noticed that my local Kymco dealer charged me $25.98 for an oil filter (Kymco SKU# 1541A-LEA7-E00) What a rip-off! I went in for my 600 miles service last week.

I just bought 5 each of the HF566's for $19.69 including S/H from OEMCycle.com 5 filters for $6.29 less including freight!

If anyone has a photo of when they changed the oil filter, it would be very helpful will post it here. Actually I would like to see exactly where the oil filter, and as seen when you open to change. ??? Thank you. Kennneth of Cape Coral, FL. 8)

Wow...so simple. Buy a filter, look under the bike...it will be plenty obvious where it goes...if you need a picture maybe you should let a mechanic do it...

I did not think that the oil filter was so small, when I saw the filter was very easy to know where he was installed. I did the oil change, and I did not need a mechanic.

Is there an O ring that should be replaced when changing out the filter, or do the new filters come with a new O ring?.

the O ring is on the cap,. inspect it to make sure it is OK. and do not over tighten it when replacing it,  and watch out for the spring in the cap, dont lose it,   and when I clean the wire mesh filter I use a needle nose plyers to get it out, gently,. air blow it clean, drain bolt beside it  drain and tilt scoot over a little to get last of oil out,. put it together add oil your done,,,..

In other words, people are re using the O ring. May not be a good idea.
Maybe someone will come up with the exact replacement size that we can buy at Lowes or Ace Hardware.

Ive done 10 oil changes ,and the O ring is still good,. I will try to match it up next oil change, and see if the hardware store has that size,.

Thanks de dee. That will help everyone.
Over time heat will cause O rings and rubber gaskets to become brittle and are more likely to leak.

Our motor oils contain an additive that rejuvenates hardened oil seals and also prevents rubber oil seals to harden... before putting on the cap, wipe a small amount of motor oil on the o-ring, this will really help lengthen the life of the o-ring...

That is good to know Vivo. Thanks for the heads up.
I have been putting a dab of silicon grease on all my O ring before using.
Did not know modern motor oils had an additive to protect rubber.
