took the kymco to work did great on the way there .But on the way home I notice sliping of the darn belt again cant be the belt it must be the clutch. So im asking which spring do I neeed is it the big
spring in the middle and is it easy to do my self.

Maybe im wrong but If the clutch was slipping then i doubt changing the springs would make a difference since all they do is keep the clutch from engaging until you hit a set rpm. Surely if they were worn then all it would do is cause the clutch to engage even sooner than before since the springs control when it engages?

As for the torque spring, if that was worn wouldnt it just cause the gearing to go into a lower gear earlier?

You 100% sure you put it all back correctly after you swapped the belt?

Yes its geting me to my top end but at atke off its jumping a little. and takeing longer to get to top end.

Maybe check the clutch faces themselves arent worn out. My last clutch was a bit slippy when pulling away and when i looked i only had 2 clutch surfaces left instead of the 3 its meant to have. One face had come off completely and was nowhere to be seen, just had the metal,i guess it just disintegrated into dust or something.

Maybe your new belt just needs a few miles to loosen up and settle itself in?

could be ill give a few days weather is going to be nice here the next few days after a few days Ill give it another look. the rollers might be geting bad ill open that up tomarrow.

The #'s are the same so I don't think they would mess w/ you and send something else. LOTS of scoots take the same belt.

Most likely your clutch is shot. Or the bell is glazed. Take it appart, and scuff the pads with 120grit paper, and the bell with 200-400gr

took clutch off this morning every looks good a little black dust inside the bell.Pads are realy thick yet.
takeing in to a scoot shope after work to test the spring.I hopeing it just needs alittle cleaning.took sandpapper to it.Im also picking up a bigger main jet for the new carb.that also might help.rpms are geting up there but the scoots not moveing like it should slows down to much with the wind in your face or going up hill.

3 months ago I did all that but because the way the scoot is moveing im takeing time to do all that again in the next few days im also takeing all the hoses off to look for leaks. the carb and belt are both new and working great. scoot just dont move like it should.

Darn it. motorcycle shop said there is to much play in the clutch. looks like ill be ordering a new clutch.
I have herd storys about the clutch going befor the belt.

I've never heard of "play" in the clutch... Check the belt fit. It HAS to be on top of the clutch (level with the pulleys, and TIGHT on the drive boss. If there is ANY looseness on the boss the belt is too long. If it is below the top of the clutch it is too narrow or too short.

the play in the clutch is that when you squess the clutch together it wiggles up and down a little.the guy at the shope said it should not do that .  I dont know the clutch looks very good to me yet Im wondering if theres something ealse wrong im over looking. the belt looks like it fits just fine.
