Hi. more problems with scooter I am afraid. About a month ago It rained for the first time in quite a few weeks, really badly. I drove home from college in this weather and had no visible problems while driving. I got home and as I eased off the throttle the bike dident hold the idle and died straight away. I put the bike out of the rain and rushed inside as I had to go to the gym in a few mins. I came out to go and the rain had eased of considerably. I tried to start the bike and it started with great difficulty. took a few minutes of continuous cranking. Once I got it going I figured the ride to the gym would sort it out as it had basically stopped raining. On the ride there the bike seemed slightly slower than usual maybe 1 or 2 mph. might of been my imagination though :/ I got it to the gym and went inside. 2 hours later I came out and nothing would get the bike going. I spent a good 20-30 mins trying to get it going with a friend and it wouldn't go. I used WD40 as well. I got it home and it has been sat in my shed for about a month so I doubt there is still water in it. I have checked: spark, fuel, piston (piston dosent seem dirty or damaged although I dident get a look at the rings), and lots of other things as well. I also checked the compression but I dont have a gauge for it so I only have my finger to go on. It pushes my finger of a little every time I crank, so I assume its good. After checking all these things I hooked the bike up to the car and tried to start it as my battery had died and after maybe 30 mins of continuous attempting to start and altering carb screws and spark plug etc I finally got it going once but it wouldn't idle and it sounded awful. I quickly turned it off and have not been able to get it going again. I am not sure atm whether the rain has caused the problem or if it is just a coincidence as I am sure I would have been able to diagnose a rain related issue I am at my wits end. can you help?
