All the gas stations in my area have up to 10% ethanol in the gas. Nothing I can do about it.
I did this....
1. Put ethanol in a large container, around 75-80 percent full. I used a one gallon glass bottle before as a first experiment.
2. Pour in around 10-15 percent water.
3. Stir or shake. This process will make ethanol and water mix together because water and ethanol mixes.
4. The water/ethanol mixture will separate and sink at the bottom of the now pure gasoline.
5. Siphon or pump out the pure gasoline up to just a little above the water/ethanol level.
