I've found 2 different spec sheets which state 365lbs and 395lbs, so it's probably
somewhere in that range.  ;D

p.s. That's about the same as my Kawasaki ER6F, and it could hardly carry me (200lbs+50lbs of stuff)
without the rear shock bottoming out on bumps, and that's even with the preload at 6 out of 7 clicks.

The GT seems a lot better at carrying stuff.
I didn't even notice a difference with my GF behind me, and I could feel a sixpack in the
topcase on my Kawasaki.

Thanks a bunch Cortez.
I have looked all over the net and could not find this information.
The reason I asked the question was, my wife bugs me wanting to ride with me. I do not enjoy riding two up but, I give in some.
Me and the wife together run about 350, so the GT should handle us ok.

Just punch the preload all the way up and you can even do some spirited riding that should
scare her enough to leave you alone..  ;)

I've done a short ride on my DT300 with a 250lbs friend, and with me riding the total load was around 450lbs.
My Kawasaki would bottom out even with the preload on 7/7 with that guy behind me (not like that, damnit),
and the DT would not, even with the stock preload settings (about half of available).

Since then, I've dropped the preload one tooth down, so it's not something like 2/5 for my 200lbs of fat and
it's fine.

Thanks for the information Cortez.
I`m convinced the GT will be fine for two up, normal cruising.
ps: My wife does not scare easy. I use to double her on my V-Max.
100 mph a few times and two accidental wheelies.
We are older now and are slow to heal, so no more high speed runs with her on.
