Questions about the Yager

I'm new to scootering and I'm looking at getting one for commuting.  The Yager seems to have exactly what I'm looking for and the reviews I've seen are good.  No dealer in the area carries them for me to check it out in person so I'm debating having one ordered sight unseen.  But I have a few questions to get answered before I do.

I was able to sit on a Kymco People S200 and it was very comfortable.  Can anyone tell me if the two have a similar feel to them.  I'm 5' 11" so as long as it's a bigger feel than the Genuine Buddy's or the Kymco Like I think it should be OK.  Also, the fact that none of my local dealers carry the Yager in stock gives me pause.  My concern is that if it isn't selling well enough to stock could that also impact availability.  Are parts pretty easy to come by for the Yager?

Those are my two main concerns.  The local dealer I'm looking at can assist me with service if need be.  I appreciate any help you can give.  Thanks.

I'm also 5'11" and while the People S200 was great, I found the Yager to be a bit more comfortable, and I loved the seating
position on it. It was smiles all the way! Also, that engine is a lot smoother, faster and will consume less fuel (slightly) then
the S200. Brakes are better too.

They probably don't stock them because it's a bit hard to sell due to it's "Taiwanese" styling.
I can't answer the parts availability question though, we don't have problems with parts in EU.

The only thing I can tell you is that I think it is a great machine.  I cannot compare it to anything else but it is comfortable and I thought it had good power.  But now that it has 1000 miles and I have switched to synthetic it has great power.  A really good bike.  This past Sunday, at 65mph on Rt. 130 in NJ the light changed to red.  I was not going to stop but then I notice cars in the crossing street edging forward and decided to stop.  I hit both brakes very hard.  I went just a couple of yards past the line but I did stop.  A tiny rear wheel skid, probably a little smoke, but not a problem.  BTW when I stopped, cars were already crossing in front of me, they didn't give a damn.

Thanks for the input guys.  I'm taking the plunge.  I ordered my Yager today.  Should be riding it within the next 10 days.  Looking forward to it!!

Fej...congrats you will enjoy the Yager....it's an elegant ride.  I've had mine since last April and have not regretted it.  And once this darn Chicago weather breaks, I'm going to do a  road trip into the countryside for a couple of days.  Can't wait!

Good for you, Fej! You should not be disappointed. I like the larger, more stable feel to the Yager as opposed to the Buddy 150 which is also a good, gutsy machine. I like the bigger and fatter wheels/tires on the Yager and the longer wheelbase. I also like the higher tech of the Yager. I have over 10000 miles on mine and it is going strong.

Got the Yager yesterday.  Got about 60 miles on it between yesterday and today.  Handles great.  Seems like a nice solid bike.  Now to work on my riding skills.
