Oldscoot, your machine looks fantastic.

Love the ER Max wind screen and i`m usually not a fan of windscreens.

Thanks for the compliment.  When I saw the wind screen in another post I thought a black-on-black screen on a black bike would work visually and also provide some wind protection.  It's a well-made screen.

Oldscoot, I was wondering if you could tell me a few things about your ERMAX windshield. Is it clear on the top area of the screen so you can see thru it at night easily?
How well does it provide wind protection for your hands? Is it high enough to not allow wind below your forhead? I just ordered a black 300GTI like yours and I was quite impressed with the look of your scooter.

The screen is a black smoke tint and it is not opaque. During the day you can readilly see through it.  At night it doesn't provide much of a view. That being said it is a sport windshield and in a normal riding position I easilly see over the shield and I can see the road easilly at night. The center top of the shield is 7" taller than the center top of the wind deflector that comes with the bike. I'm 5' 9" (though I used to be 5' 10" and can't get used to losing an inch over the last 20 years  or so). The shield keeps the wind mostly off of my face - though when I use my Airhawk - just that small height difference causes wind to hit me just below my forehead.  Partcularly bad headwind when riding at highway speed on the last ride forced me to finally join all those people with better sense than me and I bought a full-face helmet with a face shield (Shoei Qwest). However at normal street legal speeds the windshield works just fine.  The shield does not protect your hands at all. I hope this helps.

I just got a GT300i myself, and I am interested in doing what you did with the front turn signals.   How hard was that to do?   Was the wiring already there (and obvious) for activating the built-in signals?   If you could provide some hints on how you did that, I'd appreciate it greatly.

I did it the easy way - let my mechanic do it at the first service.  It didn't take him much time to do it once the tupperware was off.  You may have to supply the turn signal bulbs.  On of the members did this himself - see the post on ERMax windscreen - I'm sure he can help.
