I have herd a lot of good things about perellis. Nice street tires.

I actually read many reviews that stated "short life span". I attribute this to their "nature" being a high performance tire. MOST performance parts have a shorter life span due to working much harder than their OEM counter parts. ( HA HA ) oem "counter parts"

Ive been running Bridgestone ML50 Molas on my A50 for about 6months now and they are a big improvement especially in the wet over my stock tyres. Seem to be holding up well too on their treads after 6months use. I would definately buy them again.

The Diablo's are nice even though I only have the front tire on so far. I ordered them and 2 front tires showed uo si I sebt the ibe from tge rear back.They dont make thre stock pirekki duablo size 120/180 /14 so I ordered I49/80/14, Cornering is much easier buy I will write a filll feveiw anfyer I get noth on

I have both pirelli diablo tires on the bike the look great and handle even better. On the back I had to go with a size other then the original so I went with a 140/70/14 and that is huge compared to the stock tire ( wider and taller). This tire is such a big difference I had to remove my fender. I think the bile looks 10X better . On the ron the is a 120/70/14. No more vibrations at high speeds! The scooter also sits up higher so you can lean more in the turns with out scraping. I smply love this tire set!

Will a 150/70-14 tire fit on the rear of a Super 8 150?

Also, what is the largest tire that will fit on the front of the Super 8 150? 

I want larger diameter tires for smoother ride and less rpms. Realize I will lose some acceleration and not worried about the trade off.

It's unlikely that anything over 1 size wider will fit.
I'd be very surprised if 150 rear would fit.
If you want larger diameter, stick with the width, get 1 size taller.

You will gain some smoothness, but you'll loose A LOT in the handling
department with any of those mods, considering it's even possible.

Mods like that are usually illegal too.
You're better off just deflating them a bit then changing the stock size.

There's tires that are smoother and more comfortable.
I've gained a lot in that respect going from stock CST to Michelin City Grip
tires on my 12" wheeled scoot.

Why would increasing the tire size be illegal?

I'm baffled why the handling would be way worse.  If you have experience to share on this, I'd like to hear it because I don't want handlling to suffer badly.  Everything I read says a taller tire won't have the steering response, but will track better.  A 150/70-14 is only an inch taller than the stock 120/80-14 that is on the rear of my Super 8 150.  There seems to be room under the rear fender.  The extra width also seems to "fit". a 150/70-14 is 15mm wider on each side and best I can tell, there is enough clearance there too.

It would be good to hear feedback from someone who has "plus sized" their rear tire.

Check your registration papers/documents, if the tire size is specified there (it should be), then
that's the tire size you need to have on your scoot to keep it road legal. At least here.

As for handling, I've ridden ONE 250cc scoot whose owner swapped the rear 14" wheel
going from 130 to 140 width. It made the scooter turn in a lot a lot slower (it basically
resisted direction changes a lot more then before).

Taller wheel will also change your gearing.
Those tires will also be more expensive.

There's a good reason manufacturer decided to use the tires that you
have on right now, and it's not one of those things that should be messed with.

But what the hell, try it if you must.
If you want more comfort, change the seat, not the tires.
