You can get a 65 or 70cc kit on ebay for about $85 shipped. Doesn't get much cheaper than that. Honda Dio has the same engine as the ZX.

You may need to re jet your carb To tune it to the new exhaust , then if your variator belt and weights are properly tuned you should be able to reach 50mph or so .

I am thinking about changing clutch springs with 1500 yellow springs and buying a mallossi variator with a 1500 yellow spring. Will that make it go and accelerate faster? And will it go faster uphill?

You may have the wrong impression about parts oldschool....
A yellow spring IS NOT going to make any thing faster. It'll just hold the "gear" longer, helps going up hills....
A multivar MAY get some extra on top end(another seemingly never ending debate) some claim 4mph on top end... I didnt get anything really.. It does help the "shifting", makes it smoother, better.. The ramp plate is different than the oem to aid the roller travel.
Even a bbk will only net about 5mph but the torque is a different story, it'll get you there quicker. ;)

You should be running at 50mph all day. Trick is getting the rollers right now. You will most likely end up at OEM (8gr) or heavier. You will want to run around 7,500 - 8,500 rpm wot

More cc's = more torque
Getting ALL the torque to the wheel is in the cvt tuning. Every thing you change changes everything else. Cool HUH?
