..wrap your lips around the pipe and blow thru it...no, seriously....

There is only one way to clear a clogged muffler with out gutting it. This is REAL fun, and REAL dangerous...
You need an acetylene/ oxy torch. Start at the cylinder end heating the pipe to cherry red. NOT blue or white, RED. As it heats you will see sparks of carbon start to fly. When this starts turn off the Acet. and run pure Oxy. into the pipe. It will keep the carbon burning, and you will see the pipe glow in a ring moving towards the outlet. It moves back until you pass the baffles, and will SHOWER EVERYTHING in it path with burning carbon. (that's the fun part). I would HIGHLY recommend a Trained welder to do this for you. Chances are if you find a guy that has done this he will do it for the cost of the gas as it really is a show to see.
Or just hit ebay or OEM for a new pipe. There is nothing that will "wash" it out.

Wordslinger, its a 4-stroke, so the pipe is just to prevent water from the road to splash into the engine and to dampen the sound. ;)
It's 2-strokes which doesn't run well without the pipe :D

Second kymco agility 50 (2010) 20.000+ km. Project Fuel Injection. Stolen.

Actually the back pressure reduces heat on the valves. If you ran NO pipe the exhaust valve would melt like in a blast furnace. Even open header type have a specific running length to keep things cool

..maybe if you shorten it and let just a little water in, thatmight cool them valves off!...

 :o ??? :o ??? :o

..don't know what you'ld do when it's not raining tho...

..maybe strap a rag full of ice cubes just above the exhaust port...let them melt and just drip in...

Cool thinking Slinger!  Don't laugh at the Brigs muffler either... I used a pipe thread tap to thread a mower muffler into the exhaust port on one of my NC 50's. Not very loud either but they would rust thru the baffels in a month or so cause of the heat. $4.99 at the hardware store, and fit right in.
