just get a good can of carb cleaner. spray it all down and you should  be good to go.
just keep a good eye on the little pieces spray the jets good maybe poke with a fine needle.
make sure jets are put back in tight. try recapeing your plug too.

looks like we have a debate on are valves going here.  I have done mine both to 04 but my opinion is 02 and 04 works the best for me. so I guess its up to the owner of his own scoot to make his decision on this.

just becarefull and dont lose anything. do it over something that well catch any little things that might fall out it needs to go back the same way you found it. the jets have to go back tight. ounce you take the bottom bowl off open slowly and dont turn upside down there is a small peice under the main jet that might fall out it might stay in place. you may not have to worry to much about the other side but you can if you want. just put everything back the way you see it. no if or butts.

On my GY6 I found running the scoot for a few miles to warm it up, and adjusting the valves hot makes it much easier. I just loosen the lok nuts, and turn the adjuster by hand till it touches the valve stem. That gives Zero play hot, and .003 cold. I've done it one time, and have NOT had to re adjust yet. If you do it carefully you can slide the rocker arm back, and forth but no up or down movement. Just like old school solid lifter cams in hot rods. The engine is perfectly quite, and much peppier. Give it a try!
