..its true, bro...that bendix is basically a "self-lubricating" mechanism...
..a very small amount of graphite might aid it's release...
..but i just usually..lube it up with wd, then bloww out all the excess.....
..if you look at the pic, you'll see that i finally wore the teeth off the end of thisn...lol...
WD40 is dissolving oil, and will not be usable for lubing, as it will evaporate after a relatively short time, and leave you without any kind of lube and without the rust-protective oil, which is on all metal (where it have not been washed off).
But yeah, WD40 is great for loosening stuff which is stuck, and graphite is a great mineral lube, but i dont know if it is good to use anywhere where its as hot as in there, as this is carbon, and carbon tend to turn into a layer of black slush, which have sucked vapour from the air, and then it will possibly get something stuck again at a later time.
