...the rubber "PCV" effect tube, attached to the valve cover does indeed go to the oem airbox...

..just opposite of where it enters, there is a clear tube, that routes beneath the aibox toward the rear..

..the venturi effect does "draw" oil vapor from the valve cover, and the vapor condenses in this space between the two tubes...

..that oil should be drained from the clear tubing periodically...

Yeah but the oily stuff still also collects in our stock airbox, mine on the back bottom corner. Dont know if its linked to these tubes? I just asumed it was vapour from the engine oil that returned thro the carb, into the thro the air intake pipe to the filter box and was condensing?

I noticed when ive been jetting that once you stop if you remove the carb then oil vapour comes out the manifold when its just been run and stopped.

...there shouldn be any oil from the carb intake, but theres gasoline vapor that get's dopplered out and condenses, with some of the oil vapor from tubing...

..there's a link here somewhere that shows an awesome demonstration of how theres a vapor cloud there while its running...

...what's your cvt setup, whiteknight?

racing variator (cant remember the weights i used) 1500rpm clutch spring smooth drive boss and a racing cdi.

I think it might be because the tube from the valve cover leads it to the air filter, where it because of venturi effect is sucked up into the air flow to lubricate the engine from the ignition side of the piston. :D
But just a guess. ;)

FU*K!! i know what tube your on about!! that lil bastid came off and was rubbing and got chewed by the rear wheel. i did post quite a while about it and i knew it came from the head of the engine, i just tucked it up so it didnt get chewed anymore.

Here is the hole witch goes down to the pvc tube from the valve cover. Beneath it is a sponge, and the oily stuff from the valve cover is collected here and then sucked up into the air stream, where it will lubricate the engine and valves from the combustion side. :)
Problably prolongs engine life or something. :D

The standart is that it is measured in Km, as this is the international standart and because it is what engeneers uses the most. :D
In my manual it sais odometer and speedometer in km, and then that they as a kind of service for you guys have written mph on the speedometer too. :)
