Aprilia SRV 850
« on: April 22, 2012, 12:14:33 PM »
Piagio owns Aprilia, Gilera, vespa and so on. The SRV 850 will be branded as an Aprilia. :-*

I posted this one because I said Piagio was making this bike, and they are, as they own Aprilia, but I forgot to state that this new scoot is an Aprilia brand name. I did not want people to google the wrong name and not be able to find any info! Sorry. :-*

I have ridden the Aprilia Mana 850.  It was a blast and refined.  It was also 10k + and over priced in market place and a little too early.  Honda is in the sweet spot with new cvt's based on 680 cc twin.  If they can keep pricing low enough they will move units and a ton of them.

I wish I could ride more and drive less!

I was really thinking of the NC 700 x  and the other variants based on same platform.

That's right the DN01 did run its course. it was twice as much as the NC700x and did not look as cool. Honda is still charging over 10 grand for the NT700v deauville.  The adventure bike for 6999 is a steal or game changer.   I am a happy owner of an xciting 250. I want something a little larger maybe xciting 500. I would consider this an option.

I believe the creation of this bike puts pressure on all maxi-scoots priced over 6999 like the Burgman, majesty, Tmax and Silverwing.

The DN01 didn't run anywhere.
Didn't even walk.

the 6999 one is with the manual transmission, for the optional dual transmission is almost 9k, hardly a game changer, yes is very innovative I give you that, but at that price why and bother.

The new NC700X is 8999with dct.
Tmax 8999
Burgman exec 650  9899

I think it is a game changer. It has storage under gas tank, range, and ease of operation.

I love my xciting. I am the right size for it and I am spoiled by its storage and I have a huge monolock on the back.

I see NC700X being a hit with the baby boomer set. It looks like adventure and rides like scooter.  Game changer!
